❖ Affiliation ❖

Organization: Armed Detective Agency Yoko is a detective. Although she didn't finish her studies in law, she has a good grasp of the field, which undeniably helps her in her work. However, she often handles paperwork: collecting records and case details from police archives, studying them, and finding inconsistencies. She is also responsible for interrogating witnesses or suspects. Yoko is very meticulous, diligent, and sees her work through to the end, even when it's tough. She genuinely enjoys dealing with paperwork and especially participating in interrogations. Her ability to speak makes her an ideal "good cop" in the "good cop, bad cop" dynamic. People tend to trust her friendly and cooperative demeanor more than the other detective's aggressive threats of arrest and trial. Yoko's ability can be considered one of the strongest in the agency; she is an excellent fighter with significant physical prowess, which is important. Yoko is a vital combat unit, comparable to Atsushi and Kenji. Consequently, she often handles cases that may theoretically require forceful support from her colleagues. She can easily take on all the "dirty" work of subduing opponents while also using her intellect to gather evidence. Despite her father Yukichi being the agency's director, he does not give her any special treatment. This equal treatment is crucial for Yoko, who would hate the idea of being there through nepotism. All her achievements, especially at work, she has earned on her own. She even rejects any hint of help from Fukuzawa (though he rarely offers it). She takes on seemingly hopeless cases and is not afraid to risk her life. Yoko does not act rashly but operates quickly and decisively. Although she has the right to carry a firearm, she does not use it (and doesn't know how to shoot).

❖ Ability ❖

Promised Move

Her ability allows her to control and change the vectors of anything with a physical component through touch. For example, she can redirect a bullet back at the shooter or kick a stone and accelerate its vector to high speeds. She can also set a vector for herself, moving quickly across the battlefield or anchoring herself in place. She can establish specific trajectories for objects. Additionally, she can jump high and enhance her strike power multiple times, making her a formidable opponent. Ideally, her ability can provide absolute defense, deflecting any attack, but this is challenging and energy-consuming, so she uses this... technique only when necessary and strives to improve it.

Drawbacks:

1. Physical contact is required for her ability to work on other people or objects. The effect on a person lasts only a few seconds but can be enough to throw an enemy away. 2. Prolonged use of defense can cause her ability to go out of control, resulting in her accidentally injuring the person she intended to protect. Therefore, she rarely uses this defense. 3. In the above state, she may over-enhance her limb vectors, shattering her bones on impact.

Advantages:

1. It is challenging to keep track of Yoko on the battlefield. 2. She has a form of defense, albeit imperfect. 3. Her ability can act permanently on herself (which can also be a drawback: Yoko can still overexert and injure herself). Despite her physical training, after using her ability excessively, she experiences severe muscle soreness. She uses her ability only when necessary to avoid unnecessary injuries, even though she has nearly perfected its use. However, childhood fears still linger. Yoko tends to give her all, including in fights, but has not learned to control her strength evenly. Her punches are heavy even without her ability, but with it, she can miscalculate the force, harming herself.

❖ Personality ❖

First and foremost, Yoko is quite feisty, with a sharp tongue and a strong curiosity, often leading her to meddle in things. She can seem overly persistent and talkative, but even her colleagues say she could "make the dead talk." Yoko always seems to be in high spirits, and it is rare to see her sad. She is a kind-hearted and genuine person who enjoys the simple things in life. She remains upbeat and is the type of person who will encourage others even in the worst situations. However, she can be serious when necessary, thinking before speaking and never saying something foolish out of emotion. Yoko is good at "reading" people, a skill that emerged during her internships, although not immediately. She has a strong aversion to lying and even more to betrayal. She is a self-made person who won't tolerate disrespect. She knows what she wants from life. Yoko can easily gain people's trust, but she doesn't exploit them for her benefit. However, everyone has flaws. She is jealous and possessive, which doesn't manifest in excessive control over her partner but rather causes her own suffering due to a deep fear of abandonment. She never admits to feeling jealous, though it's easy to tell. She doesn't hold grudges but can dwell on past grievances or traumatic events for a long time. Yoko is quick-tempered but not aggressive, rarely raising her voice even when angry. This trait stems from her teenage years, and while she tries to control it as an adult, it's not always successful. When pushed to her limit, she can be blunt and difficult to calm down, although she does not take pride in this and strives to overcome it.
